Queensland has an appointed Statewide Medical Co-ordinator and Medical Education Officer who are dedicated to Advanced Training in Geriatric Medicine.
The Queensland Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training program is based on the RACP Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training curriculum. The education program is held each Wednesday afternoon for 1.5 hours. There are facilities available at each training site or trainees can attend via videoconference. The aim of the programme is to improve the quality of training in Geriatric Medicine and to promote high quality and diverse training opportunities that exist across the state. Applications through the Qld RMO Campaign for positions on the Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training Pathway in 2019 will open on 07/06/18 @ 9am and close on 05/07/18 @ 3pm www.health.qld.gov.au/rmo/
